Hello, Engage 2 Act and EngagePhase member!

Enrollment is open until Monday, March 5.

Susan Carter of The Community Studio and Max Hardy of Max Hardy Consulting invite you to join them in this online community engagement learning opportunity – Questions Change Everything.

Following on from his TED Talk released in December. Max Hardy has joined me to develop an online course to help you achieve the kinds of successful community engagement outcomes he achieves all the time.

Yes, even when the situation is complex and seems impossible, even when stakeholders are angry at you and each other!

Susan and Max will guide you through the early engagement planning stages they have used time and time again to create successful community engagement processes and ultimately build great relationships with stakeholders.

When you invest in the course, you'll receive:

  • Guided video lessons
  • Online group workshop to share learnings
  • A 12-page workbook
  • All the planning tools you need to craft a powerful question and start your community engagement process off on the right foot.

The best thing is the process and tools are repeatable and scalable, so you can use them again and again, on big and small projects – just like we do.

Bonus offer! Book a team of 10 and receive your own private online workshop to craft your question with Max.

Community and Stakeholder Engagement Specialist

About the instructors

Like many community and stakeholder engagement specialists, I started my working life somewhere completely different! I am a scientist and started my working life in environmental science roles. It was quickly worked out that I was pretty good at working with people. I especially loved connecting people with science and the environment and so my career started to change. First, it was with roles in science communication, then I took to behaviour change programs and then to community and stakeholder engagement.

In these roles, I've worked in science, environment, regulation, and infrastructure focused organisations. I have developed strategy that has calmed angry people down, build relationships and, sometimes, when engagement strategy is early and, there is time dedicated to planning, I have achieved time, cost and stress savings for projects and organisations together with great outcomes for the community.

Now, I'm passionate about helping others improve their engagement skills.

I know if you're able to build skills to identify stakeholders and plan to implement better engagement programs your projects will also run efficiently, great outcomes will be achieved and your career will accelerate.

About Max Hardy

I work with leaders and organisations to achieve results through collaboration. I focus on their toughest and most complex projects while building their ongoing capacity to collaborate and engage, across their organisation, with other organisations/stakeholders, and with their communities of interest.

Working as a coach, facilitator, process designer, trainer and strategic advisor, my approach is to work with people where they are at, understand their unique, and not so unique, challenges, and to co-create new ways of responding to those challenge
